From a construction point of view, both the exterior and the rooms inside have been treated with a great deal of sobriety. On the exterior, the unique texture of the brick walls, carefully laid out in staggered strips to bring out horizontality with lines of shadow, thereby affording the plane with greater materiality, seves as a counterpoint to the huge curtain wall running across the northeast façade.

In terms of layout, three different sized bays were set out allowing for a clear, orderly, functional organization of the building in three bands running lengthwise, establishing a hierarchy between "served" and "service" areas. The classrooms, laboratories, workshops and auditorium are set in the largest of the bays, oriented towards the northeast, and lit by a glass enclosure, taking up three, four or five of the building's structural metal mold portions according to their needs.

The southeastern band accomodates passages. A stairway is set out lengthwise together with corridors on the top three levels. Lastly, the intermediate bay is basically taken up by offices and several rest rooms.
